4 Lessons From The Wise Men
January 6th, 2011Did you know that today marks the 12th day of Christmas? It’s true. Today is called by many the “Day of Epiphany” which celebrates the visit of the Magi, or Wise Men, to Bethlehem to see baby Jesus. On Sunday at our church, Thomas Ramundo, the Superintendent of the Southern Michigan Convention of the Free Methodist Church, gave a great message on this topic.
Thomas shared that there are at least four lessons or rules of life we can learn from the Wise Men:
1. Dive into life with spirit of adventure, joy, determination and passion – why not? What do you have to lose?
2. Let God guide, guard and govern you on the path you travel – God’s Word is our road map – brush up on the Bible and prevent Truth decay!
3. Embrace the strength, support and encouragement of your fellow travelers – Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us that two are better than one.
4. Make sure the things you’re chasing and holding onto bring purpose, significance and meaning.
Great words to live by! If we can each live in this manner, we too will be called “wise.”
